The long wait is almost over for fans of BLACKPINK main vocalist Roseanne Park (Korean name: Park Chaeyoung), more popularly known as Rosé.

At 12 midnight Korean Standard Time on March 2 (11 PM Philippine Standard Time on March 1), YG Entertainment unveiled two teaser posters announcing the date of the long-awaited solo debut of Rosé: March 12. YG Entertainment also changed the covers of the official BLACKPINK social media accounts, including on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, to promote Rosé’s solo debut.

‘Gone’ at THE SHOW

Rosé, who just turned 24 (Korean age: 25) on Feb. 11, gave a sneak preview of her solo song “Gone” at BLACKPINK’s first livestream concert on Jan. 31, BLACKPINK: THE SHOW. This was during her solo stage, which started by streaming part of the music video for “Gone” and continued with Rosé singing the track on stage while accompanied by the guitarist Justin Lyons from BLACKPINK’s live band, The Band Six. The formerly US-based The Band Six has accompanied BLACKPINK all over the world for their concerts, including when BLACKPINK made history in 2019 at Coachella, where they became the first K-pop girl group to perform at the iconic music festival.

Prior to the livestream concert, YG Entertainment had posted a “Coming Soon” teaser of the track on YouTube on Jan. 26 without revealing its title “Gone”, which was only unveiled at BLACKPINK: THE SHOW. After posting the teaser video, which has already generated more than 44 million views, YG Entertainment also informed fans that the music in the video was from her solo sub-title track.
