The “Gone” music video (MV) is out, and it’s a stunning showcase of the beautiful vocals and visuals of BLACKPINK main vocalist Rosé.

“Gone”, the second track from Rosé’s solo debut album “R” after “On The Ground“, had won over fans when YG Entertainment posted a “Coming Soon” teaser of the track on YouTube on Jan. 26 without revealing its title. Rosé then performed a sneak preview of “Gone” on Jan. 31 at BLACKPINK’s first livestream concert, BLACKPINK: THE SHOW. At her solo stage, YG Entertainment first showed video footage of what was apparently a “Gone” MV, before switching to Rosé performing an acoustic version of the song on stage and revealing the title of the track.

‘Gone’ MV is finally here

BLACKPINK fans — known as BLINKS — were overjoyed when it was confirmed that a “Gone” MV was coming out. Rosé’s solo debut has been a resounding success, breaking numerous records for both streaming and album sales.

As reported by Soompi:

“According to Hanteo Chart on March 23, Rosé’s first solo single ‘R’ achieved 448,089 sales in the first week of its release (this number includes only CDs and KiT versions, and not the limited-edition LPs). Rosé has therefore extended her record for highest first-week sales on Hanteo Chart for a female soloist!”

Incidentally, earlier today, Rosé also marked another milestone by reaching 10 million followers on TikTok. This caused the hashtag #WAPSÉ to trend on Twitter. Fans have been urging Rosé to do the WAP Dance Challenge for some time, and she said that maybe she would do it if she reaches 10 million followers on TikTok.

Today was that day.

True to her word, Rosé posted a WAP dance video on her official TikTok account, with the caption: “#10M!! Here you go🙄”

Rosé is the second BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut, after Jennie on Nov. 12, 2018.
