‘How You Like That’: BLACKPINK beats BTS on YouTube

"How You Like That" surpassed 100 million views on YouTube in record time.

Guess who dethroned BTS? BLACKPINK’s music video for its highly-anticipated comeback single “How You Like That” has set a new YouTube record for 24-hour views.

“The K-pop powerhouse group’s dynamic new single had 82.4 million views in the first 24 hours of release on YouTube, and was the No. 1 trending video on the platform. Not only did BLACKPINK beat BTS for this record. The Kpop girl group composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa also surpassed 100 million views in record time. “How You Like That” reached the milestone in one day, eight hours, and 22 minutes, according to the Soompi article.

“The previous record for the fastest Korean group music video to hit 100 million views was held by BTS’s ‘Boy With Luv,’ which took one day, 13 hours, and 38 minutes to achieve the feat.”

‘The Odd 1s Out’ book shows it’s OK not to be cool

"The Odd 1s Out: How to Be Cool and Other Things I Definitely Learned from Growing Up" by James Rallison is the 53rd book I’ve finished this year.

“The Odd 1s Out: How to Be Cool and Other Things I Definitely Learned from Growing Up” by James Rallison is the 53rd book I’ve finished this year. Yup, I’m doing the Goodreads Reading Challenge thing, like I do every year. My goal this year is to read 60 books, but I’ll keep reading even after I meet that target.

I actually didn’t know that Rallison is famous online as TheOdd1sOut, because of his webcomic TheOdd1sOut and his popular YouTube channel. “The Odd 1s Out” book just caught my eye when I saw it on Amazon, and the Kindle edition was just US$1.99. I love ebooks, preferring digital instead of physical books.

I’m so glad I got this book. I literally lol’d a number of times, and I really needed a good laugh. Plus I definitely learned a lot about being cool from this book. Sort of.
