PUBG Mobile collaborating with BLACKPINK?

Have you seen the latest teaser posted on PUBG Mobile’s official Twitter account? PUBG Mobile has apparently confirmed a collaboration with the popular K-pop girl group BLACKPINK.

PUBG Mobile tweeted “‘New color’ is on the way.” The tweet was accompanied by a teaser image of four people inside a pink vehicle. Dangling from the rear view mirror is a tiny version of the BLACKPINK official light stick.

Prior to this post, PUBG Mobile set off speculation among PUBG Mobile players and BLINKS — the fans of BLACKPINK. This was when it tweeted “Guess who is coming.” together with an image of a person with pink hair wearing pink shades.

Twitter users speculated that the character in the image represented BLACKPINK member Lisa.

While it’s hard to make out any facial features due to the zoomed-up picture and huge sunglasses, players have been speculating whether this tease could be hinting towards a partnership with Lisa. The character in the picture does have similarities with the rapper.

Just a few days ago, Pepsi announced BLACKPINK as its new Asia Pacific spokesperson. The current cooperation regions are Greater China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Pepsi China initially teased the new partnership via Weibo.

BLACKPINK, which is coming out with their first full album in South Korea on Oct. 2, also made history together with BTS on the two new global charts that Billboard has introduced. They are the only K-pop groups to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 chart and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

“Both charts are based on sales and streaming data from more than 200 territories, and the rankings are determined by a weighted formula that combines official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of leading digital platforms with downloads from major online music retailers around the world.”

BTS’s “Dynamite” placed second on both charts, while BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s collaboration “Ice Cream” is No. 8 on the Global 200 and No. 6 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

So, how do you feel about the new color, PUBG Mobile players?
