PUBG Mobile BLACKPINK in your area now a reality

After all the speculation, the PUBG Mobile collaboration with BLACKPINK has been officially confirmed. How you like that?

Both YG Entertainment, the music company behind the popular K-pop girl group, and PUBG Mobile announced the partnership this afternoon after a series of teasers.

Teasing PUBG Mobile x BLACKPINK

PUBG Mobile practically confirmed the collaboration with BLACKPINK on Tuesday night when it posted a teaser image of four people inside a pink vehicle.

If you look at what’s dangling from the rear view mirror, you will see a tiny version of the BLACKPINK official light stick, which is called the Bl-ping-bong.

Prior to that post, PUBG Mobile had set off speculation among PUBG Mobile players and BLINKS — the fans of BLACKPINK — on Monday. This was when it tweeted “Guess who is coming.” together with an image of a person with pink hair wearing pink shades.

Interestingly enough, prior to this official collaboration with PUBG Mobile, a BLACKPINK song was added to the mobile game back in July.

This is the song “Playing with Fire”, which is available in the Miramar and Erangel maps of the mobile game.

First full album

The poster this afternoon that revealed the four members of the girl group — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — also shows a crate with the cover of their first full album in South Korea, which will come out on Oct. 2.

YG Entertainment also recently released a dance performance video of the single “Ice Cream”, which is a collaboration between the girl group and international pop star Selena Gomez.

Instead of the usual dance performance video K-pop fans are used to, however, they released a virtual one created using the South Korean 3D avatar social network ZEPETO.

BLINKS were even more shocked when it turned out that the “Ice Cream” dance video included an avatar of Selena.

YG Entertainment and ZEPETO also launched a virtual fansign event to celebrate the launch of the “Ice Cream” dance performance video.

So, will the Bl-ping-bong actually become a weapon in PUBG Mobile? These days, anything seems to be possible when BLACKPINK is involved.
