ANIMAX MUSIX 2021 to be held online on U-NEXT
ANIMAX MUSIX, the anime music festival that has been an annual event since 2009, will be held online for the first time on Jan. 30-31, 2021.
The first ANIMAX MUSIX live stream will be exclusively available on the U-NEXT video distribution service. Apart from the original songs of the participating music artists, the online event will also showcase covers and collaboration songs selected by the annual fan voting project.
Promoting anime music
The ANIMAX MUSIX 2021 ONLINE Day 1 lineup includes OxT, Tomori Kusunoki, ZAQ, TRUE, Shugo Nakamura, H-el-ical //, PENGUIN RESEARCH, and more.
Day 2 will feature GRANRODEO, Konomi Suzuki, Kanako Takatsuki, Azusa Tadokoro, Miyu Tomita, Nano, Morfonica, Yanaginagi, and more.
Meanwhile, ANIMAX MUSIX NEXTAGE ONLINE will also be livestreamed exclusively by U-NEXT on Oct. 31. This event brings together artists who will lead the next generation of anime music.
The artist who receives the most votes after their performance will earn the right to appear in ANIMAX MUSIX the following year. The performers include Riko Azuna, Akane Kumada, sajou no hana, Happy Around! From D4DJ, MADKID, and Mia REGINA.
ANIMAX MUSIX started in 2009 with the concept of “bringing the charm of anime music to the world”. Taiwan and China have hosted the anime music festival several times. Last year, the organizers held the annual event at the Kobe World Memorial Hall and Yokohama Arena.
