More than 100,000 users pre-registered for the Hinatazaka46 and the Mysterious Library mobile game in just 24 hours.

This was announced by Sony Music Solutions Inc., which launched the pre-registration for Hinatazaka46’s new smartphone game app on Oct. 10. This free-to-play app, which will be available on iOS and Android, is the first full-scale strategic battle game of the Japanese idol group. Originally formed as Hiragana Keyakizaka46 on November 30, 2015 as a sub-group of Keyakizaka46, the girl group announced their independence on February 11, 2019 and took the name Hinatazaka46. Their first album as an independent group, “Hinatazaka”, was released on Sept. 23.

Swords and strategy

Hinatazaka46 will wear costumes for various settings rendered via high-quality CGI, including fantasy, the Warring States period, and the near future.

Players will enjoy the original story that develops by adventuring with the members and deepening the bond with them.

The game, set for release this winter, will include a Hina Tosho student ID maker project that allows players to make a student ID card for Hinatazaka Gakuen on the official website.

By entering their name and birthday and taking a photo with their smartphone, players can get an original student ID card that can only be obtained through the site. Players can also get a special student ID card with a message from the Hinatazaka46 members, who spend their school life together in the game.

The Hinatazaka46 and the Mysterious Library official Twitter account has posted a member message video to say that the number of pre-registered users has exceeded 50,000 and to announce the reward for exceeding 100,000.

Sony Music Solutions Inc. said it has also decided to distribute 300 Sky Diamonds and two member card reinforcement materials (each color x 5), which are in-game rewards. They will release a new member message video when the number of people who pre-register exceeds 150,000.
