Animal Crossing gets graphic novel with tips and tricks

Can you believe it has already been 20 years since Nintendo originally released Animal Crossing in Japan for the Nintendo 64 console on April 14, 2001?

Now VIZ Media has announced that the popular video game will have its first official graphic novel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons — Deserted Island Diary.

This is the English release of the comedic graphic novel that was came out in Japan in June 2020. The manga includes an animal guide, so fans can learn more about some of their favorite villagers, as well as a special bonus section of gaming tips and tricks, so anyone can improve their island in the video game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, launched on March 20 last year, is Nintendo’s life simulation video game for the Nintendo Switch. This is the fifth main series title in the Animal Crossing franchise, which has a loyal community of players all over the world.

In this latest edition, you’ve purchased a deserted island package from good ol’ Tom Nook. Now it’s time for you to explore your island home and develop it into a thriving community.

The great thing about Animal Crossing: New Horizons is that it allows you to create and share custom outfits for your characters and the villagers. In fact, in the Philippines, Ayala Museum decided to join in on the fun by releasing outfit codes and custom designs based on its textile collection.
