“But when it was the four of us, the whole thing worked.” The “Light Up the Sky” trailer for the BLACKPINK documentary of Netflix is already up on the streaming site. BLINKS should prepare to cry.

“BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky”, which streams on Oct. 14, is the very first Netflix K-pop original documentary. As promised when Netflix announced the documentary, “Light Up the Sky” includes never-before-seen footage — including the pre-debut days of the four young trainees who would one day become the “biggest girl group in the world“.

The “Lovesick Girls” MV teaser is here, and Twitter is going crazy over this sneak peek at the music video of the title track of BLACKPINK’s first full album in South Korea.

On Sept. 28, YG Entertainment confirmed “Lovesick Girls” as the title track of “THE ALBUM”. The “Lovesick Girls” teaser poster showed members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa apparently posing as the two ships that the girl group’s fans — called BLINKS — are very familiar with: Chaesoo (Rosé and Jisoo) and Jenlisa (Jennie and Lisa). BLINKS were also overjoyed when yesterday’s tracklist poster revealed that Jisoo and Jennie were included in the writing credits of “Lovesick Girls“.

It’s official: K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is collaborating with American rapper Cardi B. YG Entertainment officially confirmed the BLACKPINK-Cardi B collab when it unveiled the tracklist poster of “THE ALBUM” this morning.

“Bet You Wanna” is the BLACKPINK-Cardi B collab single. It also lists songwriter and OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder in the writing credits. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK fans — called BLINKS — are also overjoyed to see the names of the girl group’s members Jisoo and Jennie in the writing credits of the title track “Lovesick Girls“.

“BLACKPINK is the revolution,” the K-pop girl group said when they debuted on August 8, 2016. Now, as they continue their global success story, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are appearing on the October 2020 cover of the US edition of ELLE, which has declared that “the future is BLACKPINK”.

Apart from the group cover, each member will have her own individual cover for the October 2020 issue.

Netflix BLACKPINK documentary to ‘Light Up the Sky’

BLACKPINK is the revolution. And the revolution is going global with the first Netflix K-pop original documentary, “BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky”.

This certainly has been a momentous year for the popular K-pop girl group, which has been making history time and again. Not only are they coming out with their first full album in South Korea on Oct. 2, but they also debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Ice Cream“, their collaboration with international pop star Selena Gomez. This is a career-best rank for BLACKPINK, and also makes them the first K-pop girl group to enter the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, they are making history again with the Netflix BLACKPINK documentary, which comes out on Oct. 14.
