Elysia, a new playable character who is the first DPS to use a bow in the game, will be introduced in the version 5.1 update of Honkai Impact 3rd on Sept. 16.
Honkai Impact 3rd is an action role-playing game from Shanghai-based developer and publisher miHoYo — the same company behind Genshin Impact and Tears of Themis.
Dubbed as Pristine Realm, the update will see Elysia boarding the Hyperion as a farmable S-rank battlesuit with the new bow called Whisper of the Past and the new Pristine Elf stigma set. Three more battlesuits will also join the Elysian Realm, and the update will offer a new story arc, a rerun of Sanka Saga, and the permanent LITE feature.
Meet Elysia
Honkai Impact 3rd is set in a modern world corrupted by mysterious energy known as Honkai. A tenacious resistance force made up of brave girls known as Valkyries, who possess an anti-Honkai genome, leads the battle against the spreading Honkai disaster, and fights for everything that is beautiful in this world.
The game’s stunning cel-shaded graphics, immersive stories, deep customization, and infinite combo action have won it an international following since its launch on mobile devices, frequently topping the App Store and Google Play download charts worldwide. Since late 2019, Honkai Impact 3rd has been ported to PC with cross-platform play support, drawing more players to the acclaimed experience.
In combat, Elysia’s Basic ATK and QTE will attach Crystalline Seeds to enemies, making them more vulnerable to her attacks. Elysia has an Infatuation meter that regenerates over time, which is consumed by Charged Shot: Cupid’s Bolt that fires multiple arrows.
If Cupid’s Bolt hits an enemy to which a Crystalline Seed is attached, the seed will explode and detonate nearby Crystalline Seeds, producing a chain reaction that damages enemies heavily. The kiss she blows when using her Ultimate is graceful yet deadly. It creates a crystalline dome overhead, within which Cupid’s Bolt ricochets wildly to damage enemies several times.
The Pristine Realm update will be available on iOS, Android, and PC on Sept. 16.
