K-pop fans in the Philippines will be able to watch the KCON:TACT 2020 Season 2 virtual festival via Smart Communications’ GigaFest.Smart campaign to thank subscribers.

KCON is the world’s largest fan celebration of Korean culture and music. In June, the Korean culture festival went online for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. KCON:TACT became the world’s first ever online K-culture festival. After the success of KCON:TACT 2020 Summer, the virtual festival is back with KCON:TACT 2020 Season 2, which is now a 10-day event taking place from Oct. 16-25.

Celebrating K-culture

Co-hosted by CJ ENM and the Korea Creative Content Agency, KCON:TACT 2020 Season 2 is a K-culture and pop music celebration featuring 10 days of 24/7 content. This includes live concerts, meet and greets, behind-the-scenes, and interactive activities with dozens of K-pop artists and influencers.

The complete lineup of artists includes AB6IX, A.C.E, ATEEZ, CLC, DAY6 (Even of Day), Dreamcatcher, EVERGLOW, GHOST9, Ha Sung Woon, IZ*ONE, JO1, KARD, Kim Jae Hwan, Kim Woo Seok, Lee Eun Sang, LOONA, MAMAMOO, Natty, ONEUS, ONF, Park Ji Hoon, Sunmi, The Boyz, TOO, VERIVERY, WEi, and WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn).

KCON:TACT 2020 Season 2 is the much-anticipated follow-up to the highly successful first season of KCON:TACT held in June. KCON:TACT 2020 Summer attracted roughly four million viewers from over 150 countries to celebrate 33 K-pop artists, including MAMAMOO, Kang Daniel, Stray Kids, MONSTA X, GFriend, and IZ*ONE, in its seven-day run.

Apart from a much longer run, KCON:TACT 2020 Season 2 promises a unique K-Pop fan experience and spectacle by incorporating AR (augmented reality), MR (mixed reality), and XR (expanded reality) technology throughout the festival.
