Amazon Fire TV device owners will now be able to access the growing collection of pan-Asian content on iQiyi, with more than 3,000 show titles.

“We’re thrilled to launch iQiyi and introduce high-quality, thoughtful storytelling to the millions of people who stream on Amazon Fire TV devices. Born and bred in Asia, our goal is to bring great Asian stories to international audiences and we are also constantly looking for like-minded partners to join us in our journey. This marks another step forward to reaching audiences everywhere,” said iQiyi Vice President of International Business Kuek Yu-Chuang in a press statement.

Asian content

The Singapore-headquartered Asian entertainment streaming platform has established several content niches, including period costume dramas such as the globally acclaimed “Story of Yanxi Palace”; its Lights On collection which houses unconventional noir-style suspense dramas like “The Bad Kids”; NextGen variety shows and the recently launched Asian Romance Collection which features Chinese Originals and the hit Korean Original drama “My Roommate is a Gumiho”.

iQiyi’s strong partnerships with Korean and Southeast Asian content providers and creators will also continue to ensure that there is always something for everyone.

To facilitate international accessibility, iQiyi also offers localized user interfaces and subtitles in up to 12 languages, customized playback settings, and proprietary technology that allows users to watch their shows two seconds after clicking the play button.

Existing subscribers will be able to download and login to iQiyi on Amazon Fire TV devices, while new users can download and enjoy the free content such as full seasons of “My Dear Guardian,” “Perfect and Casual,” and “Love Revolution”.

iQiyi also recently partnered with Dolby Laboratories to bring Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to its international app available in 191 countries, including the Philippines. One of the first Original titles available in Dolby will be “The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang,” which will be released in Dolby Atmos.
