From Lisa’s “Money” exclusive performance video which dropped last night to today’s TikTok and Instagram videos of her fellow members Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé dancing to “Lalisa“, BLACKPINK fans — called BLINKS — have been treated to a deluge of new content.
In fact, it’s been a series of milestones for both Lisa as a solo artist and BLACKPINK as a group, from “Lalisa” becoming the fastest music video by a female K-pop soloist to hit 200 million views, to “DDU-DU DDU-DU” becoming the first MV from a K-pop group to hit 1.7 billion views.
Moreover, BLACKPINK will participate in the “Dear Earth” YouTube Originals special event that will address climate change. “Dear Earth”, which premieres on Oct. 23, will feature former US President Barack Obama, Pope Francis, Desmond Tutu, Google/Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Billie Eilish, Anitta, Jaden Smith, and more. The only K-pop artist to join the global event, BLACKPINK will deliver a special message and performance to encourage climate action.
Drop some money
The highly-anticipated “Money” exclusive performance video, which had been delayed by one day, finally dropped on Sept. 23 at 11 PM GMT+8.
Showing just how many people have been eager to finally see the exclusive performance video for the best-selling rap song in the US, Lisa’s video surpassed one million views in just 15 minutes, and two million views in 37 minutes.
#LisaMoneyDance and LALISA NEW PERFORMANCE also trended worldwide on Twitter at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
The “Money” exclusive performance video already has more than 18 million videos as of this writing.
BLINKS were also delighted when Rosé posted a video on her TikTok account of her and Lisa dancing to “Lalisa”, with the caption “Chaelisa Love Me ?”. Chaelisa is actually their ship name, with “Chae” referring to Rosé’s Korean name Chaeyoung.
This was later followed by Jennie posting an Instagram story of a photo of the four of them together, and a clip of her, Jisoo, and Rosé dancing to “Lalisa”.
Lisa later also posted an Instagram Reel of her and Jisoo doing the “Lalisa” dance.
Who’s ready for BLACKPINK to make a comeback?
