These days, almost everyone is on social media. But are you really you on social media? This is one of the themes that the Netflix Film “Alter Me” will explore.

Netflix Philippines today released the trailer for “Alter Me”, which stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Enchong Dee. The film is directed by RC Delos Reyes and written by Danno Kristoper C. Mariquit.

Altering ourselves

This Filipino film follows a human resources manager who seeks the mentorship of a coveted escort to better connect with other people and her own emotions.

However, he soon opens her heart to unexpected feelings.

“Nowadays, with the advent of technology and social media, we put on different masks and we create our own worlds. Hoping, that in that world we would be able to find the love and fulfillment we have always been seeking. Not realizing that the true change or ‘altering’ we have to do is always dependent on who we are and how honest we are to ourselves,” said Delos Reyes in a press statement.

“Alter Me” is produced by Viva Films and Ten17P. It will premiere on Nov. 15 on Netflix, and will be available across Asia.
