BLACKPINK music video sets 5 Guinness World Records

The BLACKPINK music video for their comeback single “How You Like That” has enabled the popular Kpop girl group to set multiple new Guinness World Records titles.

Guinness World Records said the BLACKPINK music video generated 86.3 million views in the first day of release. With this, “How You Like That” has achieved new records for:

  • Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours

“All three records surpass previous record holder BTS — who, together with US singer Halsey previously achieved these three record titles with the video for ‘Boy With Luv’ in April 2019.”

Setting more records

According to Guinness World Records, YouTube also confirmed that the live premiere of “How You Like That” reached 1.66 million peak concurrent viewers. This set two new record titles for:

Not only did BLACKPINK beat BTS for the 24-hour records on YouTube. The Kpop girl group composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa also surpassed 100 million views in record time, according to Soompi.
